I write, edit, & produce creative nonfiction in the Midwest.

Since wading into the depths of Tumblr blogs as a teen, I’ve continued to obsess and write about art, music, and culture for more than a decade. I contribute criticism to Sixty Inches From Center, an online arts publication and archiving initiative in Chicago with a vision of a more radical, inclusive canon. As the former editor-in-chief of Dayton City Paper, the alt weekly in Dayton, Ohio, I directed coverage of news, arts, and culture in the region; I’m most proud of launching the death-themed issue.

In this time I’ve also trained as a scientist wannabe. I have six-plus years of experience writing and producing media about medical science and healthcare for some of the top research institutions and providers in the country.

I’m currently pursuing an MFA in creative writing at Northwestern University and working on a collection of personal essays that gravitate around the theme of believability. I have two black cats without tails. I’m also on staff at the literary journal TriQuarterly.
